Sofia Andres is transitioning to fashion, but this does not mean that she is planning to stop her acting career anytime soon.

Interviewed on the sidelines of a beauty brand which she is endorsing, Andres said that while she is branching out to becoming a fashion influencer, she continues to receive acting offers. However, she said she is being careful in selecting acting roles, out of respect for her daughter Zoe and partner Daniel Miranda.

“May offer naman, pero siyempre may mga role rin na hindi natin magagawa. So for now, we’re waiting for the perfect project,” she told reporters. “Ako, if maghihintay ako kahit forever, why not? Siyempre, as respect na lang sa daughter and partner ko.”

(There are offers. But of course, there are roles that I can’t do anymore. For now, we’re waiting for the perfect project. If I would wait for it forever, why not? Of course, this is out of respect for my daughter and partner.)

Andres admitted that being a mom made her become “more conservative” when it comes to choosing the right project, but one thing is clear — she doesn’t want to stop working in showbiz just yet.

“I don’t know, bigla na lang akong naging conservative. Well, not really conservative, pero naging limitado because I want my daughter to see her mom as wholesome (I don’t know. I suddenly became conservative. Well, not really conservative but my choices became limited because I want my daughter to see her mom as wholesome),” she said.

“I’m very hardworking. I don’t want to stop [working] in this industry. I want them to know that I still want to connect with the audience. I don’t plan to stop [acting] anytime soon,” she continued.

Despite this, Andres hinted that she’s working on “something big,” but she would like to keep mum on the details for the meantime.

“Hangga’t wala pa pong [perfect] blessing from ABS-CBN, at least I’m also busy with something else and to show people that I’m not stopping from work… We’re actually working on something big, sana matuloy. And sana maibigay ni God.”

Touching on her career as an influencer, Andres said she has always been “maarte” which eventually translated into sharing photos of her outfits and other fashion-related content.

“I’m also into fashion. I’m very maarte. So parang nadala na lang siguro, I think people appreciated it kaya nagtuloy-tuloy (which continued on). I’m not there yet to have kaaway (enemies) but I don’t want to get involved because I have a family,” she said.

The actress announced on Father’s Day of 2020 that she is a mother to Zoe while showing her love to Miranda. She gave birth to her daughter in November 2019.
