Stell Ajero and Pablo of SB19 admitted that they have undergone surgical enhancements which they said is a way “to boost one’s confidence.”
The duo gave a straight “yes” on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Friday, Sept. 13, when asked if they had ever undergone any surgical procedures.
“Yeah. Even my friends po, when they ask me, parang ‘Uy, nagpa-ano ka ba talaga?’ Sinasabi ko, ‘Oo. Hindi ba obvious?’” said Stell. (When my friends ask me, “Did you have this done?” I answer them, ‘Yes. Isn’t it obvious?’)
The “Room” singer underscored that he believes there is nothing wrong with opting to have surgical enhancements, especially if one has the means.
“Sinasagot ko, ‘Pag sinabi ko bang no, maniniwala ka? ‘Di ba hindi ka rin naman maniniwala?’ So, sinasabi ko po kasi I think wala namang mali kasi I’m sure, ‘pag tinanong ko ‘yung friend ko, sabihin niya, ‘Ay, ‘pag may pera ako, papagawa ko rin ‘yan.’ Ganun lang po ngayon eh,” explained the singer.
(I tell them, if I answered, no, would you believe me? You wouldn’t, right? So I tell them the truth because I believe there’s nothing wrong with it. And I’m sure when I also ask my friends, they will say, ‘If I have the money, I will also have this done. I guess that’s accepted nowadays.)
On the other hand, Pablo confessed that he was reluctant to undergo any surgical procedures.
“Sabi ko po sa kanila, ‘Di ba napag-usapan natin ‘yan nung ‘di pa tayo kilala, parang ‘magpapa-ganon ka ba ever?’ Parang ganun. Tapos ang sagot ko po, ‘Never. Hindi. Hindi pumasok sa isipan ko,’” he stated.
(I said to them, didn’t we talk about that when we were not yet famous, like, ‘Will you ever do that?’ It’s like that. Then my answer was, ‘Never. Nope. It didn’t cross my mind.)
“Pero hindi ko na lang namalayan one day, nagpapa-filler na ako dito (But I didn’t realize one day, I was getting filler here),” the singer continued, gesturing to his forehead. “Sabi ko, ‘Nakaka-boost pala talaga siya ng confidence.’” (I told myself, it really boosts one’s confidence.)
Stell emphasized that having surgical enhancements is the fruit of one’s work, saying, “Tsaka, if you have the means, why not? ‘Di naman hinihingi ‘yon (It is not something that you beg for). Pinagtatrabahuhan (It’s something you work hard for).”
The SB19 members will serve as celebrity judges in the new season of “The Voice Kids Philippines,” which will start airing on Sept. 15 on GMA Network.
