Former on-screen and real-life partners Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid expressed their happiness for each other’s love life after they recently got reunited at a beauty clinic event.

In an interview with “24 Oras,” Garcia, who’s currently dating actor-singer Khalil Ramos, was asked for her reaction when her name was mentioned by Madrid’s “Kalokalike” on “It’s Showtime.”

“Nakakaloka lang si Kalokalike,” began the actress. “Alam mo, feeling ko si Gabby Concepcion talaga ‘to. Parang hindi ako ‘to. Pero well, kidding aside, I’m happy for both Bianca and Ruru naman talaga, and it’s nice to see them happy din together.”

Madrid, who’s now in a relationship with actress Bianca Umali, echoed Garcia’s sentiment by saying that he’s glad to see the latter doing good in both love and life.

“I am very happy rin for her na she’s doing her own thing na ‘yun talagang pinapangarap niya before, ngayon ginagawa niya na, and I think kitang-kita ko naman din ‘yung happiness niya with Khalil, matagal na rin sila. We’re very happy para po sa kanilang dalawa,” he stated.

In March 2023, Madrid officially confirmed that he and Garcia were in a relationship before.

“Nung naging kami, sobrang bata pa po namin. Gabbi’s 15. Ako po, 16. And then, siguro, somehow, malaking factor na magkatrabaho po kami, love team kami. Kailangan laging kami makita na sweet sa isa’t isa so siguro, dun, dun namin na-discover na in love kami,” he told Boy Abunda.

At the time, the “Black Rider” actor also clarified that Umali had nothing to do with his breakup with Garcia, nor does he have something to do with Umali’s separation from her ex-boyfriend, Miguel Tanfelix.

Meanwhile, Garcia and Madrid are set to reunite and reprise their roles as Alena and Ybrahim on the upcoming spin-off series “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre,” which is also set to feature Umali in the lead role.

The former love team previously starred together in “Encantadia,” “My Destiny,” “Let The Love Begin,” and “Sherlock Jr.”
