Park Shin-hye will portray a judge who’s struggling to draw the line between good and evil in the upcoming K-drama “The Judge from Hell” set for a Sept. 21 release.
The romantic fantasy drama was confirmed by a Korean streaming platform in a press statement, where Kim Jae-yeong will join the actress.
“The Judge from Hell” tells the story of Kang Bit-na (Park Shin-hye), a demon who possessed a local judge’s body, hoping to fulfill her mission to bring people back to hell. This leads to Kang drawing criticism from her colleagues, as she’s known for giving light sentences to criminals.
However, Kang’s demonic nature will be put to the test as she meets and falls in love with crime detective Han Da-on (Kim Jae-yeong).
The drama will be directed by Park Jin-pyo, while Jo Yi-soo was tapped to write the storyline.
A familiar name for K-drama fans, Park started her acting career as a child actress before transitioning to adult roles. She is best known for her lead roles in “You’re Beautiful,” “The Heirs,” “Doctors,” “Pinocchio,” “Memories of the Alhambra,” “Sisyphus: The Myth,” and “Doctor Slump.”
Meanwhile, Kim started his entertainment career as a model before dabbling into acting. He appeared in the K-dramas “100 Days My Prince” and “Love in Contract.”
