LOOK: Mark Lapid completes doctorate in business administration
Actor-politician Mark Lapid is proud of his recent milestone as he finished his doctorate degree in Business Administration from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).
Mark made the announcement in a press statement, saying his recent milestone is proof that “education and leadership [can] go hand in hand.”
He is currently the COO of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) and stars as Ben in the action drama “Batang Quiapo,” led by actor-director Coco Martin.
“His doctorate not only reinforces his expertise in business but also strengthens his commitment to fostering sustainable growth and responsible governance — values that are crucial in his ongoing mission to shape the future of Philippine tourism and public service,” the release added.
Mark’s father, actor-turned-politician Lito Lapid, took to his Facebook page to congratulate his son.

Before completing his doctorate, Mark took up Management and majored in Development Management for his master’s at the University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna.
He also graduated Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Angeles University Foundation and took up certificate programs at Stanford University and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Mark’s recent appearance in the film industry was in the Brillante Mendoza-helmed movie “Apag” which also starred his father, Coco Martin, and Gladys Reyes. He also was part of the 2019 drama “Sandugo” where he starred as Darius Guerrero.
Mark is married to actress Tanya Garcia, with whom he has three daughters.
