SuperManila Comic Con 2024 is slated to bring international comic-industry icons together for a weekend of entertainment for comic-book enthusiasts and pop culture fans alike.
Happening this Sept. 7-8 at The Space, One Ayala, this year’s convention promises to feature a stellar lineup of international comic-book legends and visionary artists for discussions and activities on creativity.
Headlining the event is the internationally acclaimed artist Artgerm (Stanley Lau), whose digital art has graced the covers of DC Comics and Marvel, among others. Attendees will have the chance to meet him, participate in his workshops, and get his autograph.
Adding to the star power is Peach Momoko, the Eisner Award-winning creator behind Marvel’s “Momokoverse.” Fans can witness her art inspired by Japanese folklore come to life through live sketching sessions, participate with her in a Q&A and get the chance to snag an exclusive print of the Filipina Marvel superhero, Wave, at her booth.

Another presence to look out for in the convention is that of Bob Layton, the American comic-book writer and artist celebrated for his work on Iron Man. Completing the lineup is Mike Zeck, whose contribution to Marvel’s Spider-Man and Secret Wars has left a lasting mark.
Aside from the international stars, this year’s comic con will also spotlight an impressive roster of globally renowned Filipino artists including Jay Anacleto, Carlo Pagulayan, Stephen Segovia and Leinil Yu.
This year’s event will also witness the unveiling of the first-ever Transformers Philippine exclusive — a special edition comic-book variant featuring a Jeepney Autobot. SuperManila Comic Con 2024 will also present Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski, who is expected to offer fans a glimpse into the future of Marvel Comics through a special panel discussion.
“This is a dream come true for our event,” said Ivan Guerrero, the event’s organizer. “Bringing together such a diverse and iconic lineup of creators gives Filipino fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with the minds behind their favorite stories.”
