Chloe San Jose said Carlos Yulo’s mom, Angelica Yulo, wished ill upon the athlete before the Paris Olympics — a claim the content creator made after the gymnast’s father, Mark Andrew Yulo, urged him to apologize for calling his mother a “thief.”
Mark Andrew addressed Carlos in the comments section of the latter’s Facebook post on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
“Masaya ako sa narating mo, [anak]. Pero dapat mag-sorry ka sa nanay mo na sinabihan mong magnanakaw. Para luminis ‘yang imahen mo,” Mark Andrew said.
This apparently caught the attention of San Jose, prompting her to respond to Mark Andrew.
“Pasensya na po kayo, tito. Alam ko po na hindi po ikaw ang nag-comment nito,” San Jose said, although she did not immediately name names.
“Pero kung gusto niyo po talaga ng ganito, [bakit] hindi niyo din po sabihin na sinumpa po siya ni Tita Angge na gagapang si Caloy sa lupa before po siya mag-qualify sa Olympics last year?” she stated.
San Jose noted how Angelica even told Carlos that he would not win even if he brought several rosaries with him.
The content creator further said that Mark Andrew cheered for Carlos to win so that their family members would not have anything bad to say to him. “Dahil ang sabi niyo po kay Caloy ay marami po kayong naririnig na hindi magagandang salita sa kanila.”
“Matagal na panahon at ilang beses na po kami nag-sorry ni Caloy at nag-try makipag-usap po sa inyong lahat, pero bakit po ganito?” San Jose continued.
“Pero wala na po ‘yun tito e. Nakapagpatawad na po kami and we’re always praying for you po,” she added. “God bless us all po. Let’s pray na lang po for healing, guidance and love from Him.”

Angelica earlier publicly expressed her disapproval of Carlos and San Jose’s relationship. Carlos then admitted that San Jose was indeed the “root” cause of his falling out with his mom because Angelica “judged Chloe right away.”
The two-time Olympic gold medalist also spoke about his rift with his mom and disclosed that it also involved monetary concerns.
