Not even beauty queen Shamcey Supsup was spared by the wrath of tropical storm “Enteng” as it hit the country on Sunday, Sept. 1.

The Miss Universe 2011 3rd Runner-Up took to social media to share photos of how floodwaters submerged some of their furnitures inside their home.

“Ondoy all over again. Hope everyone is safe and sound,” she said on her Instagram Story.

Typhoon Ondoy was considered the second-most devastating tropical cyclone of the 2009 Pacific typhoon season and it was the most devastating tropical cyclone to hit Manila at the time. 

As reported by the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery, Ondoy severely affected over 9.3 million people and resulted in the loss of 956 lives, with over 700 injured and 84 persons missing when it hit the country.

Meanwhile, tropical storm Enteng triggered landslides and dumped heavy rain that flooded many areas in Luzon starting Sunday night until Monday morning, killing at least 10 people, based on the reports from local authorities and wire agencies.

In July, the Philippines also suffered the onslaught of then-super typhoon Carina, celebrities including Rosanna Roces, Aiko Melendez, and Michael de Mesa, among others, took to social media at the time to share their experiences getting flooded and stranded.

At the time, actors Gerald Anderson, Marian Rivera, and Heart Evangelista, among others, also participated in relief and rescue efforts for Filipino families affected by Typhoon Carina and the enhanced southwest monsoon, or habagat.
