Nash Aguas and Mika dela Cruz accomplished a new milestone as they moved into their new family home, three months after tying the knot.
Dela Cruz shared on her Instagram on Saturday, Aug. 31 that she and Aguas moved into their new home, coincidentally, a year after they temporarily parted ways.
The clip showed dela Cruz holding her goodbye flowers from Aguas during their temporary split and a screenshot of their conversation last January, which seemed to have taken place after the actor-turned-Cavite City councilor proposed to her.
It then shifted the couple settling into the new home with their pet dog, with Aguas and dela Cruz enjoying a drink before gazing into a thicket covering their home. They didn’t disclose where exactly their new home is located.
“Hopefully, our marriage reminds you today that anything is possible when you live a life fully surrendered to Jesus. What we thought was the scariest and hardest thing we’ve ever had to do (letting go, surrendering & obeying) turned out to be the best decision we’ve ever made,” she wrote.
The former child actress said “no one could prepare a better future” than God, while reminding her followers that it’s okay to trust in the process. “We may think that we know what’s best for us so we struggle with taking control of our own lives but truly no one could love us more and prepare a better future for us than our creator himself.”
“Surrendering all aspects of our lives and dying to our flesh is definitely hard and painful at first but trust in the process because knowing him is so worth it,” she wrote in her post.
Aguas and dela Cruz’s new milestone was celebrated by “Goin’ Bulilit” castmate Ella Cruz and Reina Hispanoamericana 2021 third runner-up Emmanuelle Vera in the comments.
The couple met on the set of the comedy sketch show “Goin’ Bulilit” in 2007 before they fell in love. They got into a relationship in 2018 but broke up due to a “series of challenges.”
Aguas and dela Cruz eventually got back together and tied the knot in May 2024.
