Arnold Clavio paid tribute to his “Ama,” Mike Enriquez, with the former expressing his longing for the late broadcaster on his first death anniversary.
“Ngayong araw ay isang taon na nang iwan tayo ni Ama, Mike Enriquez. Hanggang ngayon, nararamdaman ko pa rin ang pangungulila sa kanyang pagkawala,” Clavio said on his Instagram page on Thursday, Aug. 29, while showing a video of when Enriquez and their fellow broadcaster Vicky Morales introduced him as the new anchor of “Saksi.”
“Iniisip ko na lang ay nasa ospital lang siya o kaya ay nagbabakasyon kasama si Tita Babes,” he continued, referring to Enriquez’s wife.
Clavio, who recently suffered from hemorrhagic stroke, then addressed Enriquez whom he thanked for guiding him. “Lalo na sa panahon na nalagay din ako sa panganib, ikaw ang una kong naisip. Maraming salamat sa lahat.”
“Ang kanyang tinig at istilo nang pagbabalita ay mananatili sa isip at puso ng marami sa matagal na panahon,” he added. “Ama, rest in peace.”
Celebrities and broadcasters then took to the comments section to pay tribute to Enriquez as well, underscoring how he was a good person and wonderful human being.
Enriquez passed away after a lingering illness, a month before his 72nd birthday.
