‘Pinoy Big Brother’ alum Karina Bautista now a Navy reservist

Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Karina Bautista announced that she is now a Philippine Navy reservist after completing her training at the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)’s naval warfare branch.

Th actress celebrated her newest milestone on her Instagram account on Sunday, August 25, while sharing photos of her completion ceremony.

“SN1 Karina Bautista PN (res) from BCMC CL 09-24,” she captioned her post.

The actress received messages of support from celebrity twins Joj and Jai Agpangan, as well as Ruffa Gutierrez in the comments.

She joined the list of celebrities who signed up as reservists to serve the country, with some of the biggest names including Gerald Anderson, Dingdong Dantes, Rocco Nacino, Ronnie Liang, Matteo Guidicelli, Arci Muñoz, Geneva Cruz, and JM de Guzman, to name a few.

The actress started her entertainment career as a housemate of “Pinoy Big Brother: Otso” where she was eventually evicted on the 21st day. She appeared in the film “Fruitcake,” as well as the dramas “Viral Scandal,” “Iron Heart,” and “Sandugo.”

Earlier this year, Bautista introduced her non-showbiz boyfriend, hockey coach Manny Billones, whom she has been dating for more than a year.

She rose to fame after joining the reality show “Pinoy Big Brother” from 2018 to 2019. She has since become part of several projects including the ongoing TV series “Can’t Buy Me Love.”
