It looks like Ruffa Gutierrez and her ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas are on friendly terms for good, at least on social media, after the latter complimented the actress-beauty queen on her recent selfies during a Canada trip, which she posted on Instagram.
Netizens were piqued after Bektas left a compliment on Gutierrez’s Instagram post on Saturday, August 17, where she shared a set of selfies while holding a bouquet at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.
“You look good,” Bektas said in the comments, along with a hands-raised emoji.

Gutierrez then replied to his remark, joking that he likes her when she “looks like an Eskimo.”

Gutierrez and Bektas tied the knot in 2003 but parted ways four years later. Their marriage was annulled in 2012. The former beauty queen is currently in a relationship with actor and former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista, while it’s unknown if Bektas is romantically involved with anyone.
Gutierrez confirmed in a Philippine Entertainment Portal report in February 2021 that she and Bektas decided to reconnect for the sake of their daughters, Lorin and Venice Bektas.
The ex-couple’s daughters reunited with Bektas in June 2022, a moment which according to Gutierrez, was “worth the wait.”
