Emilienne Vigier ‘beyond moved’ by Joshua Garcia, Julia Barretto’s reunion flick

Professional golfer Emilienne Vigier has nothing but praise for her boyfriend Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto, saying they earned her “utmost respect” after she had the chance to see their reunion film “Un/Happy For You.”
On her Instagram Story on Saturday, August 17, Vigier said that growing up, she has not seen many Filipino films, but Garcia and Barretto’s film was a reminder she needed to see more of them.
“I didn’t really get to watch a lot of Filipino films growing up, so to be honest, I’ve never really seen any of your films together @garciajoshuae @juliabarretto or any directed by @awarewolves until now. And I can’t wait to watch more because of this movie,” she said in the now-expired post.

Vigier said she’s proud of Garcia and Barretto using their craft to make “many Filipinos happy and comforted,” saying their film deserves an award.
“You all have my utmost respect for the craft you all have. Making so many Filipinos happy and comforted with your undeniable talent all around the world. Salamat (Thank you),” she said. “I couldn’t feel prouder of @garciajoshuae. I am beyond moved. This deserves an award. Period.”
The Filipino-French athlete described the film as a reminder of how “endings can be [sometimes] beautiful.”
“I’ve been excited all year and this is exactly why. This film is so packed with love and lessons that [heal] so many wounds [and] that sometimes endings can be beautiful too. An honor to have seen this come to life,” she said.
In a previous interview, Barretto’s current boyfriend Gerald Anderson said he considers himself a “silent supporter” of the ex-couple’s reunion film, having gone through the same experience.
Vigier and Garcia sparked dating rumors in 2023 after sharing similar photos on their Instagram pages and having multiple sightings. While there was no direct confirmation of their relationship, the actor said he doesn’t deny what they have, but would rather keep their romance private.
“Un/Happy For You,” which revolves around the reunion of exes Zy (Barretto) and Juancho (Garcia) in Bicol, also stars Kaila Estrada, Aljon Mendoza, Nonie Buencamino, Ketchup Eusebio, and Bong Gonzales. The film is directed by Petersen Vargas.
