Gladys Reyes revealed she is now a member of the appeals committee of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) after an appointment from the Office of the President.
The actress documented the oath-taking ceremony officiated by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, through her Instagram page on Thursday, Aug. 15.
“It’s an honor to be appointed by the Office of the President as a Member of the Appeals Committee of MTRCB, representing the TV industry,” she said.
In a separate post, Reyes said she was not accompanied by her actor husband Christopher Roxas and their children because they are currently in Australia.
“Gabayan nawa ako ng Ama sa panibagong tungkulin na iniatas sakin,” she stated. “Sa akin pong mga kasamahan sa Committee on Appeals sa pangunguna ni Asec. Atty. Jeffrey Gallardo, nawa ay magawa ko po ang aking bahagi bilang isa sa kinatawan ng industriya sa telebisyon sa abot po ng aking kakayanan.”
Fellow celebrities including Amy Austria, Manilyn Reyes, Tina Paner and Carmi Martin then took to the comments section to congratulate Reyes on her new position.
The appeals committee was established to review appeals from decisions made by the MTRCB. After conducting its own review, the committee then submits its recommendations to the President.
