Sandro Muhlach said he is still “not okay” weeks about he was allegedly sexually harassed by two television contractors from GMA, but said he is determined to file a case in court against his alleged abusers.

Muhlach, speaking to the media for the first time after details of what transpired were disclosed during the recent Senate hearing, said he aimed to continue therapy for the sake of his mental health.

He granted an exclusive interview to ABS-CBN on his way to the National Bureau of Investigation where he is undergoing behavioral therapy. He was accompanied by his father Niño Muhlach.

In the interview, he was asked for his comment on the denial of respondents Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz of his allegations that he was sexually molested.

“Right now I can’t say I’m okay. ‘Yung totoo (the truth is), I am not okay.  Nandito ako sa (I’m here at) NBI kasi I’m having my evaluation sa behavioral science division. It’s the therapy for myself and for my mental health. May  anxiety ako, hindi ako nakakatulog (I’m having anxiety and I can’t sleep),” he responded.

Muhlach also said that despite Nones and Cruz’s denial, he is leaving it to the court to decide on the complaint. “Sa court pa rin naman po tayo magkakaalaman (We’ll know everything in court).”

Niño previously shared that his son has to undergo a psychological assessment or behavioral therapy session as he’s suffering from trauma and depression due to the alleged abuse. On a recent Facebook page, the actor assured his son that “better days are coming” amid the on-going investigation.

During the Senate hearing on Wednesday, Niño read portions of the text messages to prove that it was not his son who stirred the conversation with the two independent contractors.

Niño also said during their first meeting with the panel that Nones and Cruz apologized to him in the presence of GMA Network senior vice president Annette Gozon-Valdes, saying that they thought what transpired with Sandro was “consensual.”

The former young actor affirmed that “he could forgive the two but they still have to pay for what they did to his son,” amid the accused’s plea that they are “innocent” and how they might have been prejudged because they are gay.

Meanwhile, Nones was reportedly rushed to the hospital after the hearing due to anxiety attacks.
