Singer-actress Angeline Quinto gave birth to her second child, Azena Sylvia, on Wednesday morning, Aug. 14.
Quinto took to Instagram on Wednesday afternoon to share some photos of their family of four at a hospital in Taguig City, as she showed her firstborn, Sylvio, meeting her little sister for the first time.
“We’re officially a family of four,” said the actress, using her cover song, ‘Til I Met You,” as the background music.
Her non-showbiz husband, Nonrev Daquina, also reposted the same family photo and simply put a red heart on his caption.
In April, Quinto and Daquina exchanged their vows at Quiapo Church in Manila City, followed by an announcement the following month that they were expecting their second child.
Meanwhile, the Kapamilya star revealed last month that she had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her pregnancy, which causes high blood sugar that can “affect one’s pregnancy and their baby’s health.”
After her diagnosis, Quinto said that she immediately switched to a healthier lifestyle for the safety of the baby.
“Nakakalungkot lang kasi sabi niya pwedeng makaapekto kay baby, so parang kailangan ko na talaga magbago ng lifestyle… Kaya naman natin ‘yan basta disiplina talaga. Para kay baby talaga,” she said at the time.
(It’s just sad because the doctor said it could affect the baby, so I think I really need to change my lifestyle… We can do that as long as we are really disciplined. Anything for the baby.)
