Former Disney Channel star Skai Jackson was recently arrested for domestic battery after witnesses saw the actress allegedly physically attack her boyfriend, who was not named, at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood.

According to US media, the police claimed that surveillance footage shows the 22-year-old pushing her boyfriend. The authorities said that “there were no weapons involved nor any identifiable injuries,” and Jackson was released hours later after she was taken custody at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.

In a report released by TMZ on Aug. 13, the couple allegedly denied that their fight turned physical as they revealed that they were “happily engaged” and “expecting a baby together,” which surprised the netizens.

Jackson immediately trended on X (formerly Twitter) as netizens were quick to post their memes regarding the incident, given that the Disney alum is also a known figure on social media given her meme-worthy photos, especially since her days at Disney.

The American actress rose to fame after playing Zuri Ross on the Disney Channel sitcom “Jessie” from 2011 to 2015. She reprised the role on the spinoff “Bunk’d” from 2015 to 2018.

In 2020, she competed on season 29 of “Dancing With the Stars” with partner Alan Bersten, finishing in fifth place.

Jackson also voiced Glory Grant in the “Marvel Rising” animated franchise and starred in the film “Sheroes” alongside Isabelle Fuhrman and Sasha Luss last year.

In 2016, Jackson appeared on Time’s list of the “Most Influential Teens” and was nominated for Best Influencer at the Shorty Awards the following year.
