Vhong Navarro could not seem to contain his excitement after he chanced upon former NBA star Dwayne Wade during a recent trip abroad.
The “It’s Showtime” host showed himself all smiles while sitting across Wade in what appears to be a restaurant, as seen on Navarro’s Facebook page on Sunday, Aug. 11.
“Thank you, Dwyane Wade for dinner. Wow!” Navarro quipped in the caption.
Wade spent 16 seasons in the NBA, and 14 and a half of those were with the Miami Heat. He was the 2006 NBA Finals MVP, was selected to 13 All-Star Games in his 16 seasons, was an All-Star MVP in 2010, and won an Olympic gold medal. Wade retired in 2019.
While Navarro did not immediately disclose the location where he met the basketball personality, the “It’s Showtime” host currently appears to be in Paris based on his Instagram Stories.
Aside from hosting the Kapamilya noontime show, Navarro is set to star in an Erik Matti-helmed film. The project marks the reunion of the actor-TV host with Matti after their 2004 film “Gagamboy.”
Also reportedly part of the cast are Bea Alonzo, Joey Marquez and Joel Torre. Further details on the film including the title, plot and release date have yet to be revealed as of this writing.
