Singer Jessa Zaragoza revealed she recently had a procedure to remove vocal polyps and esophageal varices on her vocal folds and shared she’s “not back to her 100% condition” but trying to recuperate every single day.

Zaragoza took to Instagram to share a photo of her in a hospital bed and revealed she had to undergo an important scheduled procedure, which was the reason she has been missing-in-action after performing in her husband’s concert last July.

“You see, months before the concert, apart from the other sickness I dealt with, I had noticed some hoarseness coming from my voice, and upon examination, I discovered I had a vocal polyp and esophageal varices on my vocal folds. This is the second time I’ve dealt with something to this extent, so it definitely alarmed me that I had to go through this again,” she shared.

Zaragoza said that the procedure went smoothly, but amid her recovery, she caught another ailment, causing her extra stress.

“The procedure was to remove said findings, and thankfully, it went smoothly. The recovery process began, and I had to go on complete vocal rest for over a week. No talking whatsoever,” she said.

“As if that weren’t enough already, while I was recuperating, I caught a bug. Uso talaga ngayon (it’s a craze these days). Di talaga ako tinantanan ng sakit (sickness couldn’t leave me alone),” continued the singer. “The stress really took a toll on my health. Napakanta na talaga ako ng kanta ko, “Parang di ko yata kaya! (I really sang my song, “I don’t think I can do it!).”

The “Baliw Na Puso” singer said that she can’t wait to recover and perform for her fans at her upcoming concerts.

“I’m still not back to 100%, but I’m feeling much better every single day. I praise God for His grace and healing. I can’t wait to prepare and get back to work as soon as possible. I can’t wait to use my instrument again and do what I do best, which is perform for you all, our Kababayans,” she expressed, as she also thanked her loved ones and friends who have been praying for her recovery.

In the comments section of Zaragoza’s post, fellow celebrities, including Jaya, Carla Abellana, and Pops Fernandez, among others, left their get-well-soon and prayer messages.
