After skipping 2023, the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant is back, and ready to accept applicants for its 52nd edition this year.
“SAAN KA MUTYA? The 56th [anniversary] Edition of Mutya ng Pilipinas is all set for its General and Final Screening on August 18, 2024, at 7:00 AM,” the national pageant posted on social media on Monday, Aug. 12.
The last time the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant held a competition was in December 2022, an edition that was held after skipping two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018, producing Miss Asia Pacific International Sharifa Akeel and Dream Girl of the Year International Aya Fernandez. It then mounted its 50th edition in 2019.
