It was an unforgettable moment for the fans of BINI, also known as Blooms, as the P-pop girl group’s smash hit “Pantropiko” was performed by K-pop girl group ITZY.
ITZY surprised Filipino fans during their “Born To Be” concert, held at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City last Saturday, August 3, after Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna did a short performance of “Pantropiko.”

The “Dalla Dalla” hitmakers also posted a video of their “Pantropiko” cover on their official Instagram page.
“Sa islang pantropiko,” ITZY wrote, along with the hashtag “What Midzy want 2024” while referring to their fans.
BINI Mikha, who’s known as a fan of ITZY, expressed her excitement over the K-pop girl group’s cover on her X (formerly Twitter) page.

Meanwhile, BINI Colet, Sheena, and Gwen reposted the cover on their respective X accounts.
Aside from ITZY, Mamamoo’s Solar performed a cover of the hit track last June 2024, while Red Velvet’s Irene danced to “Pantropiko” in a call with a Filipino fan. On the other hand, K-pop boy group RIIZE and aespa’s Ningning danced to “Salamin, Salamin” at a fan concert and fan call, respectively.
Lia, ITZY’s main vocalist, was absent from the show due to health concerns. She will rejoin the K-pop girl group for their upcoming album which will reportedly be released in the latter half of the year.
The “Wannabe” singers are currently embarking on their “Born To Be” world tour and have wrapped up their leg in Manila. Among the songs performed include “Born To Be,” “Dynamite,” “Loco,” “Not Shy,” “Cake,” and “Sneakers,” to name a few.
Formed by JYP Entertainment, ITZY debuted in February 2019 with the single album “IT’z Different.” It is composed of the members Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. The female quintet is known for their dance prowess and ability to sing live despite their strong performances.
Meanwhile, “Pantropiko” was the single that catapulted BINI into widespread popularity. The P-pop girl group debuted in June 2021 and is also known for their hit songs “Salamin, Salamin,” “Karera,” “Lagi,” and “I Feel Good.”
The female octet consists of Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, and Sheena.
