Gerald Santos was a minor at 15-years-old when she was sexually harrased by a musical director in one of his shows, his manager Rommel Ramilio said.

Santos earlier sympathized with Sandro Muhlach following his allegations that he was sexually assaulted by two “contractors” of GMA, with a revelation that he, too, had been in the same situation in the past but had been denied justice.

Following Santos’ disclosure, a netizen was curious and asked him in the comments of his Facebook post why he said he was “denied of justice” when the said musical director in question had been kicked put of the network. The internet user further asked if Santos had filed a case in court in order to get the justice he sought.

Responding for his ward, Ramilio said that there was no clear resolution of the complaint that Santos filed with the network, and afterwards, was even treated like an outcast for filing the case.

Ramilio said their camp tried to “forge a compromise” but to no avail. The incident eventually led to Santos being “virtually banned” from the network.

“We were trying to force a compromise with them but he was released instead. Until now ay virtually banned si Gerald from appearing sa mga entertainment shows ng network. May justice [ba] (Did justice prevail)? [By the way], I’m his manager. We had to go through the lonely battles with a giant network,” he said.

In a follow-up comment, Ramilio pointed out that the incident took place when Santos was just 15 years old at the time.

“[Please] note that the harassment happened when Gerald was still a minor. Fifteen-years-old, to be exact,” he said.

Santos himself has yet to respond to his manager’s remarks, as of this writing.

While the parties did not cite which network they were referring to, Santos at 15-years-old was one of the contestants and eventually, finalist, in the popular singing contest helmed by Regine Velasquez, “Pinoy Poy Superstar, on GMA.

The singer in a 2012 Philippine Entertainment Portal report said that he was a victim of sexual harassment two years prior. However, Santos pointed out that it merely escalated into an “administrative case” and he didn’t proceed to file a criminal case against his abuser.

The issue resurfaced after Muhlach accused two consultants of the network allegedly sexually abused him on the night of the GMA gala night. The two were later on identified by GMA as Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
