Ria Atayde takes on strength training while pregnant
Ria Atayde is one strong mom-to-be, inspiring fans and fellow celebrities as she continues working out weeks before giving birth to her first child.
The actress gave fans a peek into her fitness routine which she does with the approval of her doctor and guidance of her fitness coach, through a video on her Instagram page on Saturday, Aug. 3.
“One of the biggest struggles throughout my pregnancy has been my mental state and body image. Imagine, working so hard to get to a certain level of fitness (even if it wasn’t enough for some, it was for me haha) only to gain all that weight back,” she said. “Nagdala pa ng friends, family and neighbors nila yung balikbayan weight ko.”
“So to help me manage this and to help me constantly remember that it’s all part of the process, I continued to work out (with the approval of my OB, of course),” she added. “So let me share with you what it’s like to do strength training while pregnant.”
Atayde then assured fans that she and her coach have been compliant with her doctor’s orders.

Atayde then found supporters in fellow celebrities including Karen Davila, Melissa Ricks, Luis Hontiveros and Thou Reyes, who cheered for the actress via the comments section.
Atayde and her husband, actor Zanjoe Marudo, tied the knot in a civil wedding in March. The couple then announced in June that they are expecting their first child.
