Cute Heartthrob was tireless in wooing Pretty Starlet. CH even escorted PS abroad, mistakenly thinking he could win the girl’s heart. But Handsome Hunk entered frame.
HH was paired with PS in a project and CH was left out in the cold. CH admitted that this had spooked him. After all, HH has a track record for being quite intimidating—just like his feisty mom.
Comic’s waterloo
Gay Comic was unstoppable on his journey to the top. The flip side of this, however, is a barrage of negative rumors. Now there’s a hate campaign raging against GC in his home studio.
Are the tattle tales being spread by notoriously competitive Flamboyant Rival?
But GC has a nasty reputation, too. He once stepped on the toes of Elderly Icon—just to get ahead in the game.
Bad girl
Three of Major Studio’s most popular talents were gathered for a splashy shoot. While Gorgeous Hunk and Sweet Starlet were cooperative, Promising Newcomer proved to be difficult, according to witnesses.
PN, the prima donna kept complaining all throughout. No wonder her career stalled. Coworkers, some of them in crucial decision-making positions, don’t think PN deserves stardom.
Traumatized
Acclaimed Artist recently gave Starry-Eyed Newcomers a rude awakening.
SNs seemed to think effective acting could be measured with the volume and frequency of one’s shrieks and screams.
On the set of a new project, AA told the young ones to go easy on the histrionics. Less is more, he said. SNs were disappointed that their potentially shining moments were aborted.
AA explained that he merely didn’t want SNs to pick up bad acting habits early in their careers.
Baron’s buddy
At the press conference for Rico Maria Ilarde’s “Pridyider,” Baron Geisler called gay costar Bekimon his new “Instagram friend.”
“I enjoy your posts,” Baron told Bekimon.
A relaxed Baron faced the press recently. Baron recalled that it had been a year since he checked out of rehab, where he stayed for seven months.
He confessed: “At first, I was afraid no one would hire me. Now, I’m busy with seven projects, including Mark Meily’s ‘El Presidente’ and Brillante Mendoza’s ‘Sapi.’”
Rihanna lets rip
PARIS—Rihanna let rip in a series of foul-mouthed Twitter posts after a crowd of “insane” French fans gathered to greet her at a train station.
The singer from Barbados has 25 million followers on her Twitter account.
She arrived at Gare du Nord in Paris on the Eurostar late Saturday to find an enthusiastic crowd waiting.
The station’s security team and her own bodyguards struggled to protect her from the crush.
She tweeted a little later:
“The French are f**kin insane!!!”
“FYI, if u push me, you WILL get pushed the **uck back!”
“I just had to fight my way out of a damn train station!!!” AFP
Top of the Talk Shows
For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests “Startalk” and “The Buzz” (and why we are moved, if we are moved):
Kris Bernal on what has changed about “Coffee Prince” leading man Aljur Abrenica: “Parang bata pa rin sa kilos … pero sa pag-iisip masasabi kong nag-mature na … at lumaki ’yung abs niya … dumami lalo!” (Pretty perceptive.)
Aljur on his relationship with Kris Bernal: “’Yong pinagsamahan namin, walang kapantay, eh, kung ikukumpara sa iba. Kasi malaking bagay ’yong Kris Bernal sa buhay ni Aljur.” (Speaking of himself in the third person already!)
Pia Guanio on giving birth to Scarlet Jenine: “First time kong narinig ’yung iyak niya, sinabayan ko siya, pareho kaming umiyak!” (The high-pitched kind that can wake the dead? Seriously, congratulations!)
Pia, asked how many more kids she wants: “Until we get a boy! Hala, open-ended!” (Let’s ask you again in a month.)
Geneva Cruz on ex-husband Paco Arespacochaga: “He’s usually a great dad. [But] kailangan lang talagang gisingin siya ng konti.” (What does that mean, “konti”?)
Geneva, asked if she’s dating anyone: “I don’t want to be with anyone right now … I don’t want to be with a boy, I want to be with a man!” (Don’t we all!)
Jennylyn Mercado, asked if she feels bad about ex Patrick Garcia not visiting their son Jazz frequently: “’Di naman masyado.” (That’s it. Can’t force a boy to do a man’s job.)
Zsa Zsa Padilla on what she loved about her stay at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles: “Daming Filipino [nurses] na nag-alaga sa ’kin. I felt the love talaga.” (No better nurses than our nurses.)
Regine Velasquez, asked if there’s still chemistry between her and “Of All The Things” leading man Aga Muhlach: “May sexual tension talaga!” (Yikes, TMI. We didn’t need to know that.)
Daniel Padilla on asking Kathryn Bernardo to be his date for the Star Magic Ball eight months in advance: “Mahirap nang maunahan!” (Talk about foresight!)
Daniel, asked about the status of his relationship with Kathryn: “It’s complicated!” (Already?)
Andi Eigenmann on ex-boyfriend Albie Casiño not acknowledging baby Ellie as his: “Kung ayaw niya, ’di ko na ipipilit. Sayang lang sa time ko. That’s OK. A lot of people love Ellie!” (Enough with the deadbeats. Donating the sperm does not make a dad.)
Gerald Anderson, asked if he has stopped courting Sarah Geronimo: “Kayo na po ang bahala kung ano’ng iisipin n’yong totoo o hindi.” (Yes or no lang.)
Bea Alonzo on her relationship with Zanjoe Marudo: “May times na nagkakatampuhan, pero siyempre may mga times na talagang mainit ang paglalambingan namin.” (Ooookay, moving on…)
John Lloyd Cruz, asked if he’s happy now: “Ang tagal kong hindi naging ganito kasaya. Ang tagal-tagal.” (Good for you.) With Allan Policarpio, Contributor
