Angela Muhlach, younger sister of former child star Niño Muhlach, caught the attention of netizens as she vowed their family would “break the injustices,” amid a circulating blind item on two TV consultants who had allegedly sexually abused a young actor.
As with other members of her family, Angela did not delve into the details when she took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, July 31, to say that the Muhlach clan would be the one who will end the “injustice all the other artists are facing.”
“Our family will be the one to break the injustices all the other artists are facing. This has to stop. We will fight for justice,” she wrote. Angela also included the hashtag “Men too” in her post.
Earlier this week, a blind item claiming that two TV consultants sexually abused a young actor at a recent big network event has been circulating on social media. Entertainment insider Ogie Diaz also gave credence to the claims on his show biz vlog, where he pointed out that the incident indeed took place.
While identities have yet to be revealed, GMA Network made a statement on Tuesday, July 30, that it would conduct a “thorough and impartial investigation” on the “artist and independent contractors” involved.
GMA’s Arnold Clavio also weighed in on the issue, saying the victims of abuse should speak up so that the entertainment industry could make a collective effort to help them bring the perpetrators to justice.
Angela is the latest member of the Muhlach clan to make a cryptic post vowing to fight for justice without citing a specific incident in particular. On the same day, Niño made a cryptic Facebook post about ending a certain battle which earned support from netizens.
Meanwhile, Sandro Muhlach — Niño’s son with his first wife Edith Millare — reshared a quote about God “seeing the cries of the helpless.” Niño’s second wife Diane Abby Tupaz said on Facebook that her family “would not rest” until justice has been served.
