Heart Evangelista extends help to homeless, abandoned pets after Carina
Aside from her relief efforts for the people affected by the onslaught of typhoon Carina, fur mom Heart Evangelista also gave assistance to dogs and cats that were left homeless or abandoned due to the calamity.
The actress-fashion personality alongside the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (SSFI) and her fur babies visited the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), as seen in a video on her Instagram page last Saturday, July 27.
Evangelista brought food and supplies, and interacted with the dogs and cats in the animal shelter.
“Typhoon Carina not only affected thousands of humans but pets as well. No one should be left behind and that means humans and pets alike in times of calamities,” she said.
“The SSFI has been blessed with partners who are also looking after the welfare of animals, sending dog and cat food for the furbabies left homeless by the typhoon,” she stated.

Evangelista then called on netizens to extend help to PAWS, further noting that SSFI is one with the organization in fighting against animal cruelty.
“What better way to reach out to as many abandoned pets as possible than through and with PAWS Philippines. They have always been part of the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council, rescuing animals left behind in times of calamities,” she said.
Prior to this, Evangelista and the SSFI organized a relief operation and distributed supplies to families in Marikina.
