Donny Pangilinan joins relief operations for Carina victims
Donny Pangilinan extended help to the victims of typhoon Carina as one of the volunteers in the relief operations of non-governmental organization Angat Buhay.
Pangilinan assisted in the preparation and distribution of rice porridge in Quezon City, as seen on Angat Buhay’s Instagram page on Friday, July 26.
“Maraming salamat sa pakikipagbayanihan, Donny!” a part of the caption reads.
Angat Buhay, initiated by former Vice President Leni Robredo, was formerly a government-backed anti-poverty program that transitioned into a private foundation.

On his Instagram Stories, Pangilinan commended the kitchen personnel he was with for working nonstop to provide food for the typhoon victims.

The actor also shared in a succeeding post a call for donations and for those who want to volunteer in the relief operations.
Other celebrities who earlier participated in relief efforts for Carina victims were Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Heart Evangelista, Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo, Rocco Nacino, Enzo Pineda, Ashley Ortega and Faith Da Silva, among others.
Carina’s strong rains, along with the enhanced southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” caused widespread flooding in Metro Manila and neighboring towns on Wednesday, July 24.
Several celebrities who were affected by the flooding include Aiko Melendez, Rosana Roces and Michael de Mesa.
As of Friday, July 26, a total of 34 people—12 in Calabarzon, 11 in Metro Manila, nine in Central Luzon, and two in the Bicol Region—were reported dead due to the typhoon.
