Andi Eigenmann is definitely one hands-on mom as she organized a “homemade celebration” with a “fiesta y flamingo” theme for her daughter Lilo’s 5th birthday.
Eigenmann documented the intimate event through her Instagram post on Friday, July 26, where she also recalled how her late mom Jaclyn Jose would always throw DIY birthday parties for her when she was younger.
“Lilo’s Fiesta y Flamingo fifth birthday! Nothing fancy, just a simple homemade birthday celebration at home with her friends, both old and new!” Eigenmann said.
“Side cuento: Preparing Lilo’s birthday reminded me of Nanay, as it dawned on me that every birthday party I had growing up, was literally DIYed by her,” she continued. “Each year, it would be held in our little home, just an intimate set- up, with our family, my cousins and best buds. She would curate the theme, have activities prepared, and we would always have her famous birthday spaghetti along with other equally tasty dishes.”
Eigenmann admitted that she “didn’t think anything of it” back then, and that she only recently realized how lucky she was to experience such.
“Now, I lovingly take pride in following in her footsteps as I do the same for my kids. Birthday spaghetti included, of course!” she said.
In a separate post, Eigenmann shared Lilo’s requests for her birthday which included “marshmallow topped hotdogs, nanay’s spaghetti, her favorite cake, some activities with friends, and a crop top and a skirt that goes until her ankles.”
Despite the struggle to find the outfit Lilo asked for, Eigenmann was able to grant them all and made the child ecstatic on her celebration.
“The cherry on top was how she’d tell me how fun her birthday was until the next day,” the actress added. “Happy fifth, Lilo!”
Aside from Lilo, Eigenmann has two more children: her eldest daughter Ellie and her youngest child Koa. The actress shares Ellie with actor Jake Ejercito, while Lilo and Koa are her children with her fiancé Philmar Alipayo.
