Rosanna Roces was among the celebrities who took to social media to share their flood experiences during super typhoon Carina.
The actress posted a video on TikTok on Wednesday afternoon, July 24, in which she is seen wading through the flood outside their home in Antipolo City.
“Tama na po. Lubog na kami, Lord (Stop please. We are already submerged here, Lord),” she wrote in the caption.
Despite the situation, Roces tried to smile as she said in the video, “Nilikas na namin ‘yung kotse. Lubog na dito. (We already placed the car in a higher place because it’s flooded here already).”

Aside from Roces, Aiko Melendez also shared that the raging flood swept away the car of her son, while actor Michael de Mesa got stranded on the road for a staggering 17 hours after areas in Cainta, Rizal, were submerged in floods.
“Stranded for 17 hours now coming from taping yesterday. Naiiyak na ko. The tow truck can’t get through, and my anxiety is kicking in. I just want to go home,” de Mesa wrote in his Instagram caption.
Meanwhile, Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson became a blessing in disguise for a family with a child trapped in a flooded home in Quezon City after he extended a helping hand so they could evacuate.
Metro Manila suffered the onslaught of typhoon-enhanced “habagat,” as many areas were flooded and many Filipino families were affected and forced to evacuate.
Metro Manila was placed under a state of calamity, which “allows local governments to tap their calamity funds and enables the mechanism for price freezes in the region.”
As the Filipinos navigate through the aftermath of the typhoon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Typhoon Carina has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Thursday at 6:20 a.m.
