fromis_9 to drop 3rd single album ‘Supersonic’ on Aug. 12

K-pop girl group fromis_9 is set to drop their third single album “Supersonic” on Aug. 12, which marks 14 months since their last release.
The eight-member girl group’s new album was confirmed by their label Pledis Entertainment in a press statement, where the record hopes to “claim the Summer Queen title.”
Following the confirmation, fromis_9’s social media platforms shared a glimpse of “Supersonic’s” concept, showing a moving poster of a vibrant billboard displayed behind the bright blue sky.
The billboard contained the group’s name, album name, and the date of their comeback. It also featured the phrase “Heat & Juicy,” which is a sneak peek of what fans can expect.

The single album contains the tracks “Supersonic,” “Beat The Heat,” and “Take A Chance,” as seen in a separate post.

Fromis_9’s last release was the June 2023 album “Unlock My World” which marked the girl group’s first record as an eight-member act.
This is a busy year for the girl group, starting from when they held their “From Now” concert in Seoul, South Korea last January, then graced several festivals including the Weverse Con Festival and Waterbomb Festival in Seoul, South Korea, and Fukuoka, Japan.
Originally a nine-piece act, fromis_9 was formed through the survival show “Idol School” and eventually made their debut in January 2018. The girl group was previously managed by the South Korean music label Off the Record before transferring to Pledis Entertainment in August 2021.
The girl group is composed of Saerom, Hayoung, Jiwon, Jisun, Seoyeon, Chaeyoung, Nagyung, and Jiheon.
