It’s time for another Bridgerton love story to take off, this time giving the spotlight on Benedict (Luke Thompson) as the lead character of “Bridgerton” Season 4.

The central character of the hit series was announced by a streaming platform on Tuesday, July 23, which showed Thompson being told to get fit for his mother’s masquerade ball.

“Next season’s most compelling match will be unmasked. Welcome to the marriage mart, Benedict,” a video announcement said. It then shifted to Thompson receiving a masquerade ball-themed ensemble.

The streaming platform also expressed its excitement for Benedict’s upcoming season, as it asked fans to “scream.”

“Benedict Bridgerton has been unmasked as next season’s newest suitor. Please scream to celebrate our boy,” it wrote.

According to a synopsis, Benedict doesn’t see himself settling down until he crosses paths with a mysterious “Lady in Silver” at the ball.

“The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict (Luke Thompson). Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down—until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball,” it read.

Details on Thompson’s castmates and premiere date are yet to be disclosed, as of press time.

Based on the original novel “An Offer From A Gentleman” by Julia Quinn, Benedict’s story centers around the second Bridgerton child meeting the mysterious Sophie Beckett at his mother’s masquerade ball. Unbeknownst to Beckett, she is treated as a servant by her stepmother despite being the daughter of an earl.

The Regency era series, which is based on Quinn’s novel anthology, recently wrapped the promotions for its third season which revolves around the love story of Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).

The first season centered on Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page), while the second season focused on the romance between Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).
