Nadine Samonte’s stylist, Miss Keith, alleged that the actress was invited to the GMA gala but was “denied” a seat to make way for influencers.
Keith took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her disappointment about how a specific artist was unfairly treated at the recently held GMA gala.
“Treat your artists right. Kahit na di yan prime niyo (even if they’re not your prime artists). Bat kayo magiinvite pero wala pala sa listahan (why invite them in the first place if they are not on the official final guest list). Wag niyo unahin mga influencers na ininvite niyo (don’t prioritize those influencers you invited). So disappointing Sparkle GMA Artist Center #GMAGala2024 CHEAP!” she lamented.
Despite not directly naming Samonte, as seen in Keith’s next Instagram story, she shared the Kapuso actress’ Aubrey Hepburn-inspired look at the GMA gala and wrote in the caption, “She deserves a seat at the table.”
Netizens on X started connecting the dots that Samonte was the artist being pertained to who was invited but not included in the guest list, as the latter was seemingly the only artist that Keith styled for the occasion.
INQUIRER.net reached out to Miss Keith for further details about her tweet and has yet to receive a response.
Meanwhile, the 2024 GMA gala witnessed another fashion extravaganza from its homegrown artists as they showed off their best black and white formal ensembles. The occasion was mounted to fund the Kapuso network’s charitable advocacies.
Some of the standouts of the night were primetime queen Marian Rivera, fashion influencer Heart Evangelista, Barbie Forteza, Julie Anne San Jose, Kylie Padilla, and Andrea Torres, among others.
Aside from their stellar looks, unfiltered moments also took center stage on the occasion, particularly Herlene Budol’s stumble while walking the ramp.
Budol took to X to share her reaction to her fall: “Sa buhay, kapag nadapa ka, bumangon ka.”
In a separate post, she stressed that accidents happen: “Pag nadapa hindi pinag tatawanan. Accident always [happens]! Sa palagay niyo ba gusto ko madapa?”
