Lee Sungmin of Super Junior announced that his wife, Kim Sa Eun, is finally pregnant with their first child, 10 years after they tied the knot.
The celebrity couple took to their respective Instagram pages to share the news by posting a picture of their baby’s ultrasound alongside their maternity and paternity photoshoot.
Sungmin admitted that he’s nervous to share the news with the public as he’s finally about to become a father after a decade of marriage.
“I’m writing this carefully to deliver news to my fans first. A precious baby has come to me. I’m becoming a father after 10 years of marriage,” he said.
“As much as the baby came to us after much difficulty, we will take responsibility and raise it with love and care. I worried a lot about when and how to share this news. Although I am nervous, I would appreciate it if you would look upon us with warmth,” added the K-pop singer.
Sungmin then thanked his fans for their support and promised that he would continue to radiate positive energy.
“Now that I have someone to take responsibility for, everything in the world feels more precious than before. To everyone who always supports me with love and attention, I would like to say thank you once again. I will become a singer who repays [the love] with great music that gives happiness,” he expressed.
Meanwhile, Sa Eun shared that she is due in September, and they have already come up with the baby’s nickname.
“I am having a baby! I didn’t know I would feel this much nervous. After a long wait of 10 years, a baby came to us like a miracle. We nicknamed the baby PoPo,” wrote the musical actress.
“Time went by fast, and I am already eight months pregnant! I am still amazed every day that there is life inside my belly, and I am praying for a healthy birth!” she added.
“As I was very cautious and concerned, I am delivering the news a little late. Aunts and uncles, see you in September,” concluded the YouTube personality as she thanked her supporters.
In December 2014, Sungmin and Sa-eun tied the knot in a private ceremony attended by their family and friends in the K-pop industry.
Sungmin rose to fame after debuting in Super Junior in 2005. The boy group is known for their hits, “Sorry, Sorry,” “Mr. Simple” and “Bonamana,” among others.
