Kim Chiu and Dingdong Dantes are among the biggest Filipino stars to be considered for an award at the ContentAsia Awards 2024, which recognizes the best of Asia’s TV and video content industry.
On Monday, July 15, the awards-giving body announced the nominees for 27 categories where shows and actors from the Philippines were also considered for a plum.
Chiu earned a Best Female Lead in a TV Programme/Series nod for her performance in “Linlang,” while Dantes was nominated for Best Male Lead in a TV Programme/Series for “Royal Blood” with Arjo Atayde.
The awards ceremony will be held on Sept. 5 at Content Max in Da’an District, Taipei, Taiwan.
Here are the Filipino nominees who are eligible to win at the annual ContentAsia Awards:
Best Current Affairs Programme Made in Asia for Regional Asia and/or International Markets: “Secret Slaves: The Jessica Soho Special Report on Human Trafficking”
Best Asian Short-form drama/series (<20 mins per episode): “Zoomers”
Best Variety Programme: “All-Out Sundays”
Best Original Reality and/or Competition Programme: “Sparks Camp”
Best Asian Feature Film/Telemovie:
“A Very Good Girl”
“Firefly”
Best Male Lead in a TV Programme/Series:
Arjo Atayde for “Cattleya Killer”
Dingdong Dantes for “Royal Blood”
Best Female Lead in a TV Programme/Series:
Kim Chiu for “Linlang”
Best Supporting Actress in a TV Programme/Series:
