SB19’s documentary film “Pagtatag!” which revolves around the P-pop powerhouse braving a “year of challenges,” is set to hit theaters on Aug. 28.

The screening date of SB19’s documentary film was announced during their set at a joint concert organized by a supermarket chain, which showed a black-and-white text revealing the words: “In cinemas. August 28, 2024.”

SB19’s X (formerly Twitter) page also shared a teaser for the documentary, showing the group, dancers, and team joining hands backstage before kicking off what seemed to be their finale concert last May.

“This is the final zone. Walang lalaylay. Sama-sama tayo dito (No one will fall down. Let’s come together),” Pablo said.

“Tagged as P-POP Kings, SB19 confronts a year of challenges as they move forward to a new era of music, career, and emancipation. This is SB19’s PAGTATAG! Era,” the post read.

The poster for the documentary was also uploaded on the same day, where the members of SB19 were turned away from the camera in a black-and-white photo, as seen on Columbia Pictures PH’s X account.

SB19 announced that a documentary film about their “Pagtatag!” era will be released in theaters on their finale concert of the same name last May. This era kicked off with the release of their smash hit “Gento” in May 2023.

The docu-film is directed by Jed Regala, and is produced by the group’s self-managed label 1Z Entertainment and First Light Studios.

The five-member group, consisting of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin, debuted in October 2018. Known as the “P-pop Kings” or “Kings of P-pop,” SB19 is known for their hit songs “Gento,” “Mapa,” “Bazinga,” “What” and “I Want You,” to name a few.

Aside from SB19’s group activities, the members also kicked off their careers as soloists starting with Ken, Pablo, Josh, Justin and Stell.
