Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo set up own production company
Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo announced that they have formally put up their own production company named Brightburn Entertainment.
The couple made the announcement by giving a peek into their first official meeting as producers, through their Instagram pages on Wednesday, July 10.
“After 20 years in the industry, Dennis and I are trying on new hats, this time as producers, as we formally put up our own production company called Brightburn Entertainment,” Mercado said.
“We are very excited for this and just want to share with you these photos, our first ever official meeting as a team with no less than Netflix Philippines,” she continued, thanking the staff from the streaming service for “discussing opportunities [they] can explore in the future.”
The actress further shared that they are now business partners with their talent managers Katrina Aguila, Jan Kristoff Enriquez and Becky Aguila. “Watch out for Brightburn Entertainment!”

Mercado and Trillo’s new venture was then celebrated by their fellow celebrities including Michelle Dee, Shaira Diaz, Jackie Lou Blanco and Lovely Abella, who sent congratulatory greetings via the comments section.
Prior to this, Mercado’s camp dismissed rumors that the homegrown Kapuso actress is supposedly transferring to another network. The speculations apparently stemmed from Mercado’s absence in GMA Network’s station ID.
“I just want to clarify to those who keep on insinuating re the issue of network transfer, that Jennylyn is a loyal artist of GMA and will always remain loyal for as long as her mother network wants her to stay,” Becky said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the couple earlier revealed that they had begun the construction of their new family home.
