Responding to curious netizens, Vina Morales disclosed that her daughter Ceana keeps a good relationship with her dad, businessman Cedric Lee, and that the child had already visited him in prison.
Morales dedicated an appreciation post for her daughter after the latter was named one of the first honors of their class, as seen on the actress-singer’s Instagram page on Monday, July 8.
“I am a very proud mommy, and your dad is also proud of you,” Morales, who is currently in Canada, addressed Ceana. “I love you very much, anak. Can’t wait to go home.”
Morales also added several hashtags in her post, including “be kind” and “comment accepted.”
The comments section was then swarmed with congratulatory greetings from fans and fellow celebrities. Along with these greetings, however, were queries that make mention of Lee.
“Eto po ba ‘yung anak ni Cedric Lee?” one @rowenanilo asked, to which Morales replied, “Yes po.”
Another netizen, @amoremio044, then chimed in and said, “Yes. Cedric Lee is proud of his daughter. Not sure if his daughter is proud of him.”
Morales seemingly came to Ceana’s defense and replied, “Yes po. She visited her dad na.”

Lee has been detained at the New Bilibid Prison after the Taguig Regional Trial Court found him, model Deniece Cornejo, and companions Ferdinand Guerrero and Simeon Palma Raz guilty of serious illegal detention in the case filed by actor-TV host Vhong Navarro. The said court likewise sentenced the four to reclusion perpetua.
Meanwhile, Ceana celebrated her 15th birthday last April in a summer party organized by Morales.
