Barbie Forteza got candid about the guilt she feels over “setting aside” her actor boyfriend Jak Roberto for her “BarDa” love team with David Licauco, admitting that spending quality time together is currently the “most challenging” part of their relationship.
The actress opened up about her real life romance in a “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview on Friday, July 5, crediting Roberto as the main factor sustaining their relationship.
“Ang laking factor po kasi na ang mature mag-handle ng relationship ni Jak. ‘Yung ugali ko na-tolerate niya, [kasi] feeling ko meron akong pagka-alpha,” she told Abunda. “Pagdating sa relationship namin, napapatiklop ako nung Jak.”
When asked about the most challenging part of their seven-year romance, Forteza confessed, “Quality time.”
“Especially nung na-busy and syempre, nakaramdam ako ng konting guilt towards him because I have to admit—hindi naman ito parang bago—I had to set him aside kasi nag-pick up ang BarDa,” she continued.

Forteza further underscored that despite how painful it may be for Roberto, the actor “took it lightly” and went all out in supporting her.
“Siya nga ‘yung laging nagyayayang mag-celebrate. Iti-treat niya ako ‘pag may bago akong endorsement or show with David… Gano’n siya,” she stated.
“Very secure siya sa sarili niya na he lets his woman shine kahit not with him,” she said of Roberto.
Forteza and Roberto celebrated their seventh anniversary last May. Meanwhile, Forteza’s movie with Licauco, “That Kind of Love,” is set to hit local theaters on July 10.
