SB19’s Stell unaffected by Jake Zyrus’ mom’s ‘All by Myself’ remark
Stell Ajero of SB19 appealed to netizens to stop the bashing toward Jake Zyrus’ mom, Raquel Pempengco, as he stressed he was not hurt by the latter’s remark about his “All by Myself” rendition.
Stell earlier earned the praise of award-winning composer-producer David Foster after the singer belted the song at Foster’s “Hitman” concert in Manila.
Raquel then gave her two cents on Stell’s performance, saying he was good but that he shouldn’t be compared to Charice Pempengco (now Jake Zyrus).
Stell was asked about the comparison between him and then-Charice on social media by actor-showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz, as seen in a vlog on the latter’s YouTube channel on Wednesday, July 3.

Speaking about Raquel’s remark, Stell said, “Syempre, nanay po siya.
“Basta ako, ayoko lang pong mag-spread ng anything negative kahit sa ibang tao,” he stated, adding that he was even flattered because he was still somehow “recognized” by Raquel. “But for me, hindi naman po ako na-hurt or anything.”
