Mandy Moore, who voiced Rapunzel in the 2010 animated Disney film “Tangled,” said she wants pop hitmaker Sabrina Carpenter to play the character if there is a live-action version.

In an interview with Bustle, the “A Walk to Remember” actress shared that if she had the power to cast an actress in the role of Rapunzel, she would pick Carpenter.

“I could see her with 50 feet of hair or something,” she said. “She looks like a Disney princess in real life.”

Moore underscored that she and the “Espresso” singer could play mother and daughter, respectively, and sing together in the movie.

“Maybe I could be Rapunzel’s mom. Let’s have a real mother-daughter duet and have someone write an original song so we can talk about our differences and how hard it is to be a young person in this world,” she remarked.

Even if Disney has yet to officially announce a live-action “Tangled” movie, there are rumors that it will happen anytime soon.

Last year, Carpenter dressed up as Rapunzel for Halloween, and fans and fellow celebrities commended her for slaying in her outfit, given her iconic natural blonde hair.

Moore and Carpenter began their careers in Hollywood at a young age, dabbling in both acting and singing. Carpenter rose to fame after appearing in Disney Channel’s “Girl Meets World,” while Moore’s first feature film role was in “The Princess Diaries” (2001).

When asked if she was returning for the upcoming third movie of “The Princess Diaries,” the singer-actress was enthusiastic about it.

“I would show up in a cameo and work at a pet rescue now—just something fun,” she said.

Moore is known for her other roles in the TV series “This Is Us” and the movies “Chasing Liberty,” and “Because I Said So,” among others.

The 40-year-old actress is also expecting her third child.

Meanwhile, Carpenter has been gaining popularity lately with her release of several hits including “Nonsense” and her most recent one, “Please, Please, Please.” She has been topping the charts since 2022.
