Dennis Trillo’s management, Aguila Entertainment, said Trillo’s TikTok page had been hacked and that a comment from his account making a subtle jab against ABS-CBN was not his.

Trillo caught the attention of netizens after he responded to a netizen on TikTok, who asked him if his wife Jennylyn Mercado would transfer to ABS-CBN since she was absent in GMA’s Station ID.

“May ABS pa ba (Does ABS still exist)?” the actor supposedly responded.

Reacting to the now-viral comment, Aguila Entertainment said in an official statement on Monday, July 1, that the actor’s TikTok page was hacked and that the comment was made by someone using his account.

“We would like to inform the public that Dennis Trillo’s TikTok account has been hacked around noontime today, July 1, 2024. There were some comments made using his name and we assure everyone that it was not his doing,” Aguila’s statement read.

Trillo’s agency said the matter is being “fixed” and that it’s “unlikely” for the actor to “make such remarks” on social media.

“It is very unlikely of Dennis to make such remarks and he is a person who has nothing but kindness and respect in his heart. We are currently fixing the matter to avoid this incident from happening again. Thank you,” Aguila said.

Meanwhile, the agency’s general manager, Jan Enriquez, said on X (formerly Twitter) that the actor is busy filming the historical drama “Pulang Araw” and has “limited access” to his phone.

“We are investigating the situation but do know na hindi po si Dennis yun. He is currently taping for Pulang Araw and [has] limited access to his phone as per his PA. We advise the public not to jump [to] conclusions with regard to this incident,” he said.

Trillo himself has yet to address the incident as of this writing. Meanwhile, the comments section of his TikTok page is currently switched off.
