SB19 and Apl.de.Ap hosted the “party of a lifetime” in the official music video of their collaborative song “Ready” released on Friday, June 28.
The video, shared on Apl.de.Ap’s YouTube channel, begins with the P-pop boy group members Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin alighting from their luxury cars and heading to a mansion where the party is being held.
The Filipino-American singer later joins them, and the six of them then take the party to a yacht.
“The concept of the music video revolves around the guys being away for a while and returning home to mount a party of a lifetime,” Apl.de.Ap said in a statement.
“While shot in Manila, it’s designed to be purposely ambiguous in location, and the maximalist design is intentional. It represents the arrival of SB19 as an international act. It’s an honor to be celebrating with the next pride of the Philippines,” he continued.

Speaking about the creative process behind the music video, Pablo said they used a more Westernized approach without completely relying on a storyboard.
The leader and chief songwriter of SB19 was also all praises for Apl.de.Ap who was very “very chill and fun to work with.” “His energy was infectious! Even the dancers and the talents gave their all. There’s never a dull moment in the shoot.”
Justin, for his part, said shooting the music video “offered a refreshing reprieve” as it was different from their usual story-driven concepts.
“Ready” MV was directed by American filmmaker Ben Mor, Apl.de.Ap’s good friend and frequent collaborator, who has directed visuals for global pop icons Katy Perry, Britney Spears, John Legend, NAS and the Black Eyed Peas.
The single, written by Apl.de.Ap, Jean-Baptiste, Vince Nantes and Denzel with final touches from Pablo and Josue (Radkidz), was released last May 31.
