Heavy favorites did not disappoint, and cracked the Top 12 of the Miss World Philippines 2024 pageant’s “Beach Beauty” competition held at Aqua Boracay in Aklan on Wednesday evening, June 26.
Twelve ladies were announced as top contenders in the competition, among them were returning candidate and 2021 First Princess Rhiana Agatha Pangindian from Kapitolyo, Pasig, and former Miss Charm Philippines Krishnah Gravidez, who observers note are both heavily-favored for any of the crowns at stake.
Former Binibining Pilipinas semifinalists Jasmine Omay from Tarlac and Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano from Bicol Region were also in the Top 12, as well as 2024 Miss Universe Philippines alumnae Patricia Bianca Tapia from Batangas, and Dia Maté from neighboring Cavite.
Also called to join the group of formidable aspirants were former Limgas na Pangasinan-World Nikki Buenafe, who waited more than a year for her national pageant debut, and Gabrielle Lantzer who just relinquished her Miss Manila title over the weekend.
Visayan beauties Mariam Lara Ashraf Abd El Hamid from Capiz, Sofi Maxim Margareta Grenmo from Cebu, and Arrieana Beron from Iloilo City also made the cut, along with Pampanga’s Sophia Bianca Santos.
