BINI Sheena standee returned; fan who took it apologizes

Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi with the standee of BINI member Sheena Catacutan

The fan who took the standee of BINI member Sheena Catacutan at the BINI Day event said sorry after returning it, lamenting the bullying she experienced due to the incident.

Days after Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi launched the “Finding Sheena” campaign for the missing standee, Eli—a fan whose face was not revealed—reached out to the BINI team, as seen in a video on BINI’s Facebook page on Thursday, June 27.

Eli said the individual who took the standee sent her a message on one of her social media pages and informed her that the latter was in possession of the standee.

Reading the statement sent to her by the unnamed individual, Eli continued: “‘First things first, I’m really sorry for [the inconvenience I] caused the management, and to me as well due to the actions during BINI Day. Napindot po kasi si die-hard [and] I thought it was okay since wala naman pong nagsabi na bawal.'”

“‘Naisip ko rin po at the same time na sayang if ever hindi na magagamit; baka pwede na siya iuwi,'” the statement further read. “‘I returned the standee po kasi grabe na ‘yung bullying na natatanggap ko sa social media.'”

The individual, according to Eli, also admitted being “scared” because some had already discovered their identity. The former appealed as well to stop spreading their pictures on social media.

Dyogi, in turn, thanked the individual and said that the management accepted the apology. The Star Magic executive then urged the public to “fangirl with limit.”

“Getting something that’s not yours is not really cool.

Meanwhile, Dyogi rewarded Eli with a BINI merch and promised to meet her again in an undisclosed event.
