Ronnie Liang asserts no ‘personal dealings’ with Harry Roque
Ronnie Liang’s legal counsel dismissed speculations linking the singer and former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, which apparently stemmed from the 2022 videos of the two that resurfaced on social media.
Liang’s lawyer, Ralph Calinisan, addressed this through an official statement released on his Instagram page last Friday, June 21.
“Videos of Ronnie Liang and Atty. Harry Roque are currently viral in social media. In those videos, it is apparent that Atty. Roque was in a very cheerful mood and having a good time in the presence of Ronnie,” Calinisan began.
Calinisan was referring to the 2022 clips taken in Dinagat Islands, where the former presidential spokesperson teased his viewers about Liang going “topless.” In a separate video, Roque also asked Liang if the latter was indeed “wholesome.”
“These videos resurfaced after it was uncovered that Alberto Rodulfo ‘AR’ dela Serna, a former Mister Supranational, was the ‘travel companion’ of Atty. Roque,” Calinisan noted.

The lawyer stressed that Liang “chanced upon” Roque and, being the “courteous and well-mannered person” that he is, the singer took part in the latter’s vlog.
“They were accompanied by a number of soldiers, policemen, and officials from the local government unit,” Calinisan said. “Para malinaw, si Ronnie Liang ay hindi po ‘alaga’ ni Harry Roque tulad ng ibig pakahulugan ng ilan.”
Calinisa also stated that Liang nonetheless supports the LGBTQIA+ community and its call for equality and inclusivity.

Liang, for his part, seemingly alluded to the matter through a Facebook post last Saturday, June 23.
“When people hear good things about you, they stay silent. When they hear bad things about you, they spread it like wildfire. But when they hear nothing about you, they make things up,” he wrote.
“However, it’s important to remember that you cannot control what others say about you. Instead, focus on the best version of yourself and let your actions speak for themselves,” he continued. “Over time, your character and integrity will shine through, and the people who matter most will recognize and appreciate you for who you are.”
