Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia bond with Leni Robredo on the set of new movie
Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia bonded with former Vice President Leni Robredo on the set of their upcoming movie “Un/Happy for You.”
Robredo took to Facebook to share her bonding moments with the former celebrity couple, saying that Barretto had invited her to stop by their movie set in Naga City.
“Lunch with Julia in Naga. She invited me to visit the set after. Very pleasant surprise to know that a number of the members of the team volunteered during the campaign, including their director, Petersen Vargas,” wrote the former VP.
The former presidential candidate then shared that she met with the rest of the cast and crew and that most of the movie’s scenes would be filmed in Naga, which is her hometown.
“Ang saya sa set. Met Joshua, Kaila, Ketchup, Noni Buencamino (his wife, Shamaine, is from Naga), and the rest of the artists and crew,” expressed Robredo.

Now that they are both dating other people—Barreto with Gerald Anderson and Garcia with Emilienne Vigier—the two admitted that now is the best time to work with each other again.
“It almost felt like maybe it’s already the right time, it’s the right material, and we’re both in a good place in our lives. I’m happy na magkakatrabaho tayo ulit,” said Barreto during their press conference.
Meanwhile, Robredo is reportedly eyeing the Naga City mayorship, as recently revealed by Liberal Party (LP) President and Albay First District Rep. Edcel Lagman.
“The last time we talked, she said she would run for mayor of Naga City to continue the programs of her late husband,” Lagman said in Filipino.
