Teresa claimed that Diego got angry with her decision, but when the drugs left his son’s system, he got to understand why his mother did what she did.

“He wasn’t himself then. We have to understand that na ‘yung mga mahal natin sa buhay, kapag nalulong sa droga, kapag kinausap mo sila, binabastos ka nila. Hindi sila ‘yon. ‘Yun ‘yong gamot. Then, naintindihan niya,” she explained.

That was part of his punishment for him to learn to appreciate home and family,” said Teresa of her son with actor Cesar Montaño..

Ang hirap,” she added.

Teresa asserted that prayers also helped a lot in the recovery of his son, as without them, she also doesn’t know how to handle the struggle.

“And you know what? Prayers, prayers, and never ending prayers and pasasalamat talaga. Dun ako kumapit. Grabe! And there are days, iniisip ko, kailangan ko rin yatang pumasok para matuto rin,” she said.
