Alethea Ambrosio off to Poland for Miss Supranational 2024 pageant
Alethea Ambrosio was all business and fun as she embarked on her quest to score the Philippines’ second Miss Supranational victory in Poland where the 15th edition of the international pageant will be held.
Wearing a three-piece ensemble consisting of matching turquoise tweed long-sleeved cropped suit top and wide-legged pants, and a shimmery chartreuse bra top that bared her midriff, the Bulakenya model headed to Europe where she hopes to exceed Pauline Amelinckx’s first runner-up finish in the Miss Supranational competition last year.

Ambrosio earned her ticket to the Miss Supranational pageant after her appointment was made official in February, during a press conference announcing the respective global assignments of the finalists of The Miss Philippines Culture and Heritage Celebration.
She won the crown at the inaugural staging of the sister search of the Miss Universe Philippines pageant held in October last year, but her international pageant assignment as well as the other finalists’ were not disclosed that time.
Article continues after this advertisementAside from the 2024 Miss Supranational pageant, The Miss Philippines search last year also chose the country’s representatives to this year’s editions of the Miss Eco International, Miss Asia Pacific International, Miss Aura International, and Miss Eco Teen International pageants.
Article continues after this advertisementChantal Schmidt had already competed in the Miss Eco International pageant in Egypt in April, where she finished as first runner-up, while Blessa Figueroa and Isabelle De Los Santos are set to raise the country’s colors at the Miss Asia Pacific International and Miss Aura International competitions, respectively.
The Miss Philippines semifinalist Hannah Uyan was appointed as Miss Eco Teen International Philippines, and is scheduled to represent the country in her global competition later this year.
But just three months after receiving the Miss Supranational Philippines title, Ambrosio had already relinquished it to her successor, Miss Universe Philippines third runner-up Tarah Valencia, after last month’s national competition. The new queen will compete in next year’s edition of the international pageant.
Ambrosio will be followed by Mister Supranational Philippine Brandon Espiritu in Poland later, with his international male competition scheduled a day after the coronation show of the Miss Supranational pageant on July 6 (July 7 in Manila).
A part-Filipino delegate is also competing in the 15th Miss Supranational pageant, actress, model, and international pageant veteran Yuki Sonoda, who won her national title in Tokyo last month.
So far, the Philippines has scored one win in the Miss Supranational pageant, courtesy of Mutya Johanna Datul who bagged the crown in 2013. No Filipino contender has ever brought home the Mister Supranational title.
