Rodriguez earlier opened up about her decision to leave her showbiz career in the Philippines and move to the US. She said this was mainly driven by her goal to provide proper education and medication to AJ, who also suffers from an autoimmune disease.

Rodriguez and her family left the Philippines for good in 2021.
