Amy Poehler gives Scarlett Kramer words of wisdom about friends

Actress-comedian Amy Poehler extended words of wisdom to 12-year-old Scarlett Kramer, one of the daughters of celebrity couple Doug Kramer and Cheska Garcia, about how complicated it is to maintain friendships when you’re a teenager.
Scarlett had the opportunity to interview the Hollywood actress on her film “Inside Out 2,” as the latter voiced the famous character, Joy.
“I just want to say that I’m such a big fan of you, especially in ‘Inside Out.’ Joy really motivated me to become a joyful person,” began Scarlett.
Poehler replied, saying that she could feel that the 12-year-old is a very joyful person, and added, “I think you’re going to really, really like this next movie because it is a perfect time for you to watch it.”
The “Parks and Recreation” star then told Scarlett that, given her age now, she could possibly relate to the new emotions in the film, especially in the aspect of having friends.
Article continues after this advertisement“You know, Scarlett, when you’re 12, there’s a lot of big things that you have to deal with. A lot of it has to do with friends,” the actress said. “Friends are complicated, so the movie talks about what it’s like to have to figure out how to be a good friend.”
After playing a quick game together, Scarlett said that she’s looking forward to seeing the new movie.
“I think you’re going to really love it, Scarlett. You just seem like you’re really very emotionally intelligent,” responded the Hollywood star.
Before the interview ends, Scarlett asks the comedian some additional questions about what other emotions they could add if a third movie comes out in the future, and Poehler says she wants “judgment and love or romance” to be featured next on the roster of emotions.
Following the success of the first film in 2015, “Inside Out 2” is one of the most anticipated releases of 2024 as it follows main character Riley, who is now struggling with the challenges of being a teenager with new emotions inside her head.
“Inside Out 2” premiered in the Philippines on June 12 and is currently showing in nationwide cinemas. While the film is set to debut in the US this weekend with a shot at the first $100 million at the box office.
